Sean, Jackson and I went down to Arlington on Saturday to watch the PRO race. Jared was in the race and rode for DC Velo as Haymarket didn't make the invite list. He raced well and lasted 2 hours, only to get gapped off the back with 10 minutes left. A fine performance if you ask me.
Anyway, there was 'this guy' off the front from the beginning of the race, who *almost* lapped the field. I was timing the gap from the back of the field to 'this guy'. The gap went from 30 to 30 to 27 to 23 to 23 to 20 to 20 to 20 to 17 to 14 to 13 to 10. Then Kelly Benefits put 5 or 6 guys on the front and drilled it.
Half way through the race 7 guys bridged up to Chad and they stayed away.
I later found out that the guy off the front was Chad Gerlach. Here is a bit about Chad.
